A Panther Through and Through: Why I'm Running

As a parent with children currently attending schools in this district, I have a deep, personal investment in ensuring that our school system continues to provide meaningful and enriching experiences for every student.

Barrett participated in Saucon Valley High School Band programs and served as Band President during his senior year.

But my connection to Saucon Valley goes beyond my role as a parent. I am also a graduate of this very school system. I sat in these classrooms, walked these halls, and experienced firsthand the impact a quality education and school experience can have on a child’s future. As a parent, I want to make sure that the same opportunities are available to our children and future generations.

In a race filled with candidates each offering their own agendas or plans for the district, I bring a different perspective: one rooted in a genuine, lifelong connection to our schools. Unlike other candidates, I’m not running to champion a specific initiative or policy change.

I’m simply committed to ensuring that our district remains a place where every child—regardless of background or circumstance—has access to a high-quality education and amazing school experience.

By listening to the needs of the Lower Saucon and Hellertown communities and collaborating with teachers, staff, and parents, we can continue to build upon the legacy of excellence that made this district a strong foundation for the future success of so many.

This district played a pivotal role in shaping my own future. The education I received set me up for success in college and helped me build a solid professional career spanning more than 17 years. The impact that Saucon has had on me convinced me to first run in 2023 and continue volunteering since.

I’ve already had the privilege of serving on both the District’s Branding & Mission Committee and the Communications Committee, where I’ve worked to strengthen the district’s message and improve communication with the community. I am eager to continue contributing as a member of the School Board.

As both a parent and an alum, I understand what it means to be part of this district. I am invested in its continued success and in ensuring that it remains a place where every child can thrive.

I’m ready to bring my experience, perspective, and dedication to the Saucon School Board to help ensure our schools remain a strong, supportive environment for future generations.
